Go back to VTFEdit, and paste the image back in.

It is required you use software that can edit images with transparent backgrounds (I recommend .) Once it's in there, replace the image of the mercenary with whatever you chose, select it and copy it. Once you can see the image of one of the mercs, copy that image and paste it into any photo editing software you have, make sure you leave VTFEdit open. Once the VTFs and VMTs are in place, you can start editing the VTFs. After that, save the VTF file and it should work! Nice ill try thanks
Make a folder in Custom (in this case, we'll call it "my custom stuff) and create the following path: my custom stuff\materials\console\characters
